Each of our coatings have their own specific use and it all depends on your exact situation and needs. These coatings are primarily used to cover and protect our spray polyurethane roof foam from the sun. If the spray foam is not protected by a coating, the foam will deteriorate from the sun over time. However, all of our coatings can be applied directly to most all hard surface roofs without spray foam. So if you are simply looking to keep your roof from leaking, one of our coatings is your solution!
WHICH COATING DO I NEED?
There are 3 main things to consider:
1) The first thing is: water. Will you ever have standing/ponding water sitting on our coating? All of our coatings are water proof to any running water. But only the Silicone, Polyurea and Urethane will stand up against ponding water. So, if you have a flat roof, or parts that will have standing water, you’ll want to look at one of these 3 options. 2) Secondly, you’ll need to know how durable of a coating you’ll need. For example: if your building has HVAC units on the roof, you’ll need a very durable coating since people will be up there from time to time servicing those units. Our Polyurea and Urethane coatings are practically bullet proof. These 2 options are your solution if you will ever have foot traffic on your roof. (learn more)
3) Lastly, you’ll need to know what kinds of chemicals and/or oils will ever potentially come in contact with our coating. If you have exhaust pipes discharging chemicals, machines/units that leak oil, or any other situation where chemicals and/or oils could ever come in contact with the coating, then your options would be either our Polyurea or our Urethane coating. Elastomeric (Acrylic) Spray Roof Coating
√ 100% Waterproof
This coating remains flexible even at extremely low temperatures, reducing the chance of cracking and/or blistering. Once cured, this coating creates an impermeable membrane blocking all water forever! This coating will not protect against ponding/standing water. Only use this coating if your roof has sufficient slope and drainage.
√ UV Protection
Acrylic coatings protect your roof from the harmful all-day beatings of the UV rays. Buildings have noticed up to a 90% reduction of damage caused by the sun once our Acrylic coating has been applied. By deflecting the sun, you also gain the benefit of reduced heat transfer into your building. This coating will drastically lower the temperature inside of your building on those hot summer days!
√ Energy Efficient
By blocking harmful UV rays, subsequently you’ll also block the heat transfer into your building. This will allow your HVAC system to run much less often to maintain the desired inside temperature, saving you money every month! You can expect up to a 50% decrease in your energy bills after coating your roof with our Acrylic coating!
√ Most Affordable
The cost of this coating is the least expensive option we have. It’s a good option for roofs that get little to no foot traffic on a regular basis since it’s not heavy impact resistant. It will still hold up well against small to medium sized hail, smaller blowing branches, leaves and sticks. If your roof gets regular foot traffic, you’ll want to look at either our Polyurea or Urethane coating.
Silicone Spray Roof Coating
√ 100% Waterproof
Ponding water is the most common culprit for a leaking roof. Standing water, over time, will damage any roof it’s standing on. Our Silicone coating will not deteriorate over time. Once cured, it creates a water impermeable membrane, stopping any water from ever penetrating in! This coating can be fully submerged by standing water and will never allow the water to penetrate.
√ Eco-Friendly
Our silicone coatings have very low VOC (volatile organic compounds). These are the same compounds found in paints, varnishes and wax. This coating product is also solvent-free, meaning they can ignite, but it’s flashpoint is extremely high and it simply doesn’t have the fuel sources needed for a fire to continue to burn. our products meet or exceed product safety standards in all 50 states.
√ Quick Install
Silicone has higher solid contents than the less expensive coatings, allowing it to be applied thicker, and in most cases, in one coat. This significantly cuts down on the labor cost of the project, while still providing a high quality, effective coating for your roof. The thickness of the product also allows our installers to fix minor slope/drainage issues on the roof to minimize as much ponding of water as possible.
√ No Primer
In most applications, a primer is not necessary in order for our Silicone coating to adhere properly to your roof. A good power washing takes care of most roofs. When primer is not needed, this too, drastically reduces of the cost of the installation.
Polyurea Spray Roof Coating
√ Extremely Strong
Polyurea can be formulated to a high tensile strength (4350 psi). It’s virtually bullet proof! This is the superior option for roofs that get a heavy amount of foot traffic, are in large hail areas of the country, or are surrounded by large trees that drop large branches.
√ Great Adhesion
Once the surface is properly cleaned and prepped, this coating will permanently adhere to metals, wood, concrete, spray polyurethane foam and more! The coating options for objects/surfaces that need superior protection are virtually endless. You name it, Polyurea can coat and protect it!
√ Superior Durability
This coating is completely impervious to: severe cold and heat, chemicals, oils, salt, water, abrasions and scratches. It’s high impact rating will withstand any amount of foot traffic, and most hail sizes won’t effect this coating at all. It’s virtually indestructible!
√ Very Flexible
This coating has incredible elongation (ability to stretch) characteristics, allowing it to move with the expansion and contraction of your building while never losing its adhesion to the surface. This is a perfect option for buildings that experience extreme temperatures throughout the year.
Urethane Spray Roof Coating
√ 100% Waterproof
This is an incredibly flexible and durable membrane. It withstands extreme cold and heat, effectively handling the expansion and contraction of any surface. It is an impenetrable coating from water, not allowing even ponding water over the years from getting through.
√ A+ Impact Rating
This coating has the highest impact rating on the market today! Whether it’s constant foot traffic, large hail, or blowing branches, this coating can take virtually anything you throw its way!
√ Superior Adhesion
Once the surface is properly cleaned and prepped, our Urethane roof coating adheres permanently to metals, built-up roofs, spray polyurethane foam, concrete and most single-ply membranes.
